Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (508) - HATTON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 KING OF SELECTION (K397) C L Chau Near the 1300 Metres was hampered when taken wider by TO INFINITY which shifted out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) H Bentley Bumped at the start.
H Bentley stated that his mount came under pressure soon after entering the Home Straight and finished the race off only fairly thereafter.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer"'which had previously been reported.
Horse No 3 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) H Bowman Shifted out on jumping and made contact with STELLAR SWIFT.
Horse No 4 FORTUNE STAR (K003) L Ferraris From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail.
When being shifted out to avoid the running rail FORTUNE STAR made contact with STAR ELEGANCE.
Near the 300 Metres was briefly held up for clear running behind THE AZURE.
Horse No 5 AMAZING AWARD (J236) D B McMonagle Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 6 THE AZURE (J227) M F Poon Bumped at the start.
Near the 1300 Metres was crowded and made contact with the running rail.
Horse No 7 TO INFINITY (G277) J Orman Near the 1300 Metres shifted in and made contact with WINNING DATA and then shifted out abruptly when being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 8 STAR ELEGANCE (K536) K C Leung Near the 1300 Metres was crowded.
In the Home Straight lay in and proved difficult to ride out.
Over the concluding stages K C Leung was unable to use his whip when positioned close to WINNING DATA.
Near the 50 Metres STAR ELEGANCE and WINNING DATA made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground.
K C Leung reported that his mount was slow to begin and as a consequence settled further back in the field than he had intended.

Horse No 9 WINNING DATA (H230) K Teetan Near the 1300 Metres was crowded for room between THE AZURE and TO INFINITY which shifted in whilst being corrected by its rider J Orman.
Near the 50 Metres WINNING DATA and STAR ELEGANCE made slight contact due to both runners shifting ground.
Approaching the winning post raced tight between GOLDEN BRILLIANT and STAR ELEGANCE which shifted in when it continued to lay in.
Horse No 10 WAVE GARDEN (K209) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and made contact with THE AZURE.
Raced keenly when positioned outside the lead in the early stages.
Horse No 11 GOLDEN BRILLIANT (K347) A Badel Shifted in on jumping, resulting in its rider A Badel having to correct his mount.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From the 800 Metres raced very wide and without cover.

Horse No 12 DIRIYA (K282) L Hewitson L Hewitson could offer no explanation for his horse's failure to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Golden Brilliant made a four-wide mid-race move from towards the rear and after sustaining his run to lead 150m out, he kept finding for a first win at his seventh start. Star Elegance motored late down the outside for second after biding his time at the rear from gate seven. It was his best run to date on his first Valley start. Punted late Win- ning Data swooped late with two wider out to just miss second after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He was able to build on a closing sixth when retrying the Valley 1,650m at his penultimate start. Favourite Amazing Award had to settle for fourth after briefly leading 200m out following a prominent run wide without cover from gate six. He's run with merit in back-to-back starts. Harmony Galaxy just plodded after a box-seat run. It was a better effort at his third start following a downgrade. The Azure made only a mild bid after a rails run from midfield. He isn't too far off a rating bottom. Fortune Star ran on without threatening near the inside after straightening one from the rear. King Of Selection was a non-factor ridden last and three wide following interference 1,300m out.
