Magnifique sat one off in third before surging to the lead 200m out and proving too good for a fifth win from seven starts. He was able to build on a length third at his first time of asking on dirt last start. Victory Sky battled on gamely for second after prompting the pace on the fence from gate one. He continues to hold his good form on this surface. Smashed late in betting, Blazing Wind surged late to snatch third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's very honest on this surface. Early favourite Supreme Sea lost a placing late after getting pressured leading one off from gate four. It was a good run at his first start in Class Three after a win and second to start his career. PI Legend stayed on for fifth after a rails run from midfield. It was a positive first effort on this surface. Gummy Gummy produced a grinding effort after a one-off trip from midfield. Aurora Patch came up one paced after a wide trip without cover.

H Bowman stated that his mount failed to make ground from back in the field and raced "flat??today.
