Recap by phillip woo

California Moxie got a patient ride third last and after straightening wideest out, he showed a good turn of foot to overhaul Glorious Journey in the final few metres for a second win and a third from his past four starts. Punted late Glorious Journey found one too good after surging to the lead 100m out following a one-off trip from midfield. He rarely produces a bad run. Favourite Ragga Bomb had to settle for third setting slow fractions after clearing to the front 1,500m out from gate five. It was a good run carrying 9lb more following a win. Turin Warrior just got up for fourth from better than midfield to spice up the Quartet. Shanghai Style gradually faded after going forward to prompt the pace 1,250m out. It was another good run. Aestheticism made some ground late near the inside to just miss fifth prize money following a rails run from behind midfield. It was one of his better runs. Legendary Impact only plodded after pulling out three wide rounding the final bend following a box-seat run. Take Action made headway late without threatening after making his run one off from behind.
