Horse No 2 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) Y L Chung Y L Chung could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
Trainer D Eustace advised he had been pleased with the horse leading into tonight's race but could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of SPORTS LEGEND was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, SPORTS LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 EVERSTAR (K264) R Kingscote R Kingscote stated that he was asked to hold an on-pace position.
He said after commencing well he was able to race outside the lead but his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.
Horse No 9 TOURBILLON GOLFER (K320) A Badel Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 FAMILY KNIGHT (K490) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Symbol Of Strength had a one-off trip in midfield and just got up in the concluding stages to deny the firming second pick Flying Wrote for a first local win at his ninth start. He was able to back up a close third last month. Flying Wrote did everything right but get the win after surging to the lead 180m out following a rails run from better than midfield. It was another good performance. Power Koepp ran on nicely down the outside for third after making his run at the rear from gate nine. Newcomer Romantic Gladiator ran on well along the inside to just miss a placing after a rails run from behind midfield. It was an encouraging first run in Hong Kong. Nine-year-old Harmony N Blessed grudgingly gave way to just miss the frame after dictating the run from gate three. He's given a better sight in two of his last three starts following a downgrade. Tourbillon Golfer had little left in the tank 100m out after sitting third wide without cover from gate six. Family Knight made some ground from near the rear. Favourite Sports Legend found nothing when asked for an effort after a prominent run.
