Race Five : (479) - CITI ULTIMA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 4 HAPPY SHOOTER (J427) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 VOYAGE BOSS (K321) D B McMonagle Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 6 CONRAD PATCH (L106) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 HEALTHY PONY (L046) R Kingscote Slow to begin.
Horse No 9 MAJESTIC LIFE (L085) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by VOYAGE BOSS which shifted in.
Near the 200 Metres shifted out and away from VOYAGE BOSS when that runner shifted out to improve.
As a result MAJESTIC LIFE became awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALABAMA SONG and was steadied.
Horse No 10 MY TRIUMPH (K558) B Avdulla In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 800 Metres got its head up when being restrained to avoid VOYAGE BOSS.
Leaving the 500 Metres was steadied when unable to improve between ALABAMA SONG and VOYAGE BOSS.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.
Before being allowed to race again, MY TRIUMPH will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 11 ALABAMA SONG (K480) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 INVICTUS DRAGON (K318) Z Purton Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres.
For some distance after the 200 Metres then raced tight between GOOD FORTUNE and RELENTLESS PURSUIT which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 13 ACE (K307) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of REAL GENTLEMAN.
Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be fully ridden out to the finish.
Horse No GOLDEN LUCK (H159) M F Poon GOLDEN LUCK, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 28.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front ligament injury).
Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN LUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Conrad Patch faced the breeze three wide near the speed and just got up 50m out to deny early favourite Happy Shooter for a first win at his third start. he had run well to place in his first two starts. Happy Shooter found one just too good after leading 100m out following a prominent run on the fence. It was a good effort carrying more weight following a win. Invictus Dragon flashed home late with one wider to finish a close third after making his run third last from gate 12. He's a winner in waiting. Island Buddy grudgingly gave way after clearing to lead from gate 10. It was another genuine effort after back-to-back wins. Good Fortune ran on well for fifth after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. It was an improved effort after just an opening fourth from his first seven starts. Relentless Pursuit made some ground late down the outside after biding his time towards the rear from gate 14. It was a pleasing effort on debut.
