Recap by phillip woo

Warriors Dream got a lovely run in the box seat and just mugged Alsonso on the wire for a first win at his 11th local start. He had been knocking on the door in three consecutive runs following a stable change. Alsonso did everything right after a perfectly rated run dictating the pace from gate seven. It was a return to form at his third run following a downgrade. Firming favourite Gold Patch kept plugging away for third after tracking the pace from gate 13. It was another good run carrying a share of top weight following a debut win. Daily Acclaim ran on nicely with one wider out for fourth after biding his time fourth last from gate eight. It was an encouraging debut performance. Precision Hope flew home late down the outside for fifth after making his run third last from gate 11. It was his best performance from four starts.
