Race Two : (476) - CITI PRIVATE BANK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 THE ABSOLUTE (H438) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by DECISION LINK which shifted out.
L Ferraris reported that after settling back in the field his mount finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 2 MR COOL (K184) D B McMonagle Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
Horse No 3 CHILL PARTNERS (K484) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.
After travelling a short distance was then hampered when bumped by SHOOTING TO TOP.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 SHOOTING TO TOP (L039) M F Poon Shortly after the start was crowded by WIN SPEED which shifted in.
Horse No 6 WHOWROTETHATSONG (L048) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of the starting gate and as a result was slow to begin.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 CALIFORNIA BAY (K364) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) R Kingscote Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 9 MAGIC SUPER (K330) J Orman A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 DECISION LINK (K416) A Badel Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 12 GASTRONOMIQUE (K388) M Guyon Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 13 FIGHT TIME (H409) A Atzeni A Atzeni stated that he was able to settle closer today from a more favourable barrier position.
Horse No 14 WIN SPEED (J205) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that the horse travelled satisfactorily in the early stages but when asked for an effort in the Home Straight failed to respond.
He added, in his opinion, the horse may be better suited down in grade.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Chill Partners was given a well-executed ride after sitting box seat from barrier 11 and just got up to deny favourite California Bay on the post for a maiden win at his fourth start. He had been promising, including a near win last start over 1,200m. California Bay was only beaten on the line after emerging with the lead from gate four. He's a winner waiting to happen after filling the frame in three consecutive runs across both tracks. Mr Cool finished willingly down the outside to just snatch third by a nose after covering ground travelling third last from gate 14. It was another honest performance without finding the winners' enclosure this term. Gastronomique was just out finished for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was his best effort from seven career runs.
