Race Two : (435) - TVB YAN OI TONG CHARITY SHOW HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 CAPTAIN LINK (K515) E C W Wong Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres was steadied away from RAGING RAPIDS.
Horse No 4 AMAZING PARTNERS (K554) C Y Ho Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly.

Horse No 8 FRANCIS MEYNELL (J394) R Kingscote From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of VIGOR ELLEEGANT.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 14 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) M Chadwick Slow to begin.
Approaching the 1100 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up for some distance when being steadied away from RAGING RAPIDS.
VIGOR ELLEEGANT continued to race keenly throughout the middle stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea and also found it to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Before being allowed to race again, VIGOR ELLEEGANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Early favourite Amazing Partners was wide without cover from behind midfield but sustained a run 600m out to get up at the 50m for a second straight win from four starts. It's onwards and upwards for him. Light Years Glory stayed on nicely to finish a close second after a wide trip early on until slotting one off with cover travelling better than midfield 1,000m out from gate nine. California Bay found a couple just too good after poking his head briefly on top 80m out following a one-out, one-back run from gate 12. He was able to back up a fourth last start over the Valley 1,650m. Devas Twelve just lost a placing late after leading 400m out following a speed-tracking run outside Golden Empire from gate 13. He's not far off a winning run after two progressive runs following a downgrade. Francis Meynell rallied nicely with two wider out for fifth after making his run second last from gate 11. It was his best effort from four starts this term.
