Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (428) - SHEUNG HEI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 SUPERB KING (K479) J Orman J Orman reported that his mount was required to do too much work in the early stages from the outside barrier to take up a forward position and as a result failed to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 LIGHTNING ACE (L136) M Chadwick Inside the 100 Metres was laying in and near the 50 Metres got unbalanced after making contact with the hindquarters of LUCKY MAN.
Horse No 6 BITS SUPERSTAR (J362) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 MASTER RESOLUTE (K403) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 FALCON HUNTER (K503) C L Chau Rounding the Home Turn initially shifted out to improve and was disappointed for sufficient racing room between FORTUNE WHISKEY and LIGHTNING ACE.
As a result FALCON HUNTER was shifted back in after the 300 Metres and then had difficulty gaining clear running over the concluding stages.
C L Chau accidentally dropped his whip inside the 100 Metres.
Horse No 9 LUCKY MAN (J315) L Hewitson Hung out rounding the turn near the 900 Metres.
Near the 50 Metres got unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by LIGHTNING ACE which shifted in.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bentley H Bentley stated that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and the performance overall was, in his opinion, disappointing.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 YEUX DE LIFELINE (K455) A Atzeni Fractious in the barriers and became cast under the front gates.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, YEUX DE LIFELINE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Master Resolute settled midfield on the inside and quickened nicely to win going away 30m out for a first success at his fifth start. He proved a rallying second at $78 last start was not a fluke. Co-favourite Bits Superstar found one just too good after hitting the lead 80m out following a one-out, one-back run. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in three consecutive runs. Falcon Hunter stormed home late from the rear to spice up the tierce. It was clearly his best run to date. Find My Love got up for fourth after getting stuck behind the tiring leader until the 100m following a rails run from behind midfield. He was unlucky not to have finished closer. Fortune Whiskey ran on late near the outside for fifth after biding his time one from the rear. He should find his mark shortly. Master Of Humor made headway late to finish next best after making his run third last from gate 10. It was an improved effort at his fifth start. Whacked to jump an equal favourite, Superb King didn't have much to offer in the home straight after working like a trojan to share the lead with Holmes A Court from gate 12.
