Firming favourite Inno Super had a dream run from gate one in the box seat before hitting the front 80m out and just holding on for a first win at his ninth start. Noble Pursuit surged late near the inside to finish a close second after finding a spot behind midfield on the fence from gate seven. He's knocking on the door in his past three starts following a downgrade. Northern Beast held on for third after a tactics change to lead from gate four. He's always a chance over this Valley trip. Punted late California Banner stayed on well for fourth after travelling effectively one-out, one-back. He was able to back up a closing third from behind midfield last start. Kolachi stayed on next best after a rails run from midfield. He's honest when drawing an inside gate over this track and trip. Setanta ran on without threatening after making his run third last from gate 11. He'll be one to respect if he can find his way into Class Five. Harmony Galaxy made inroads late after settling fourth last. Drifting in betting after vying for early favouritism, Prestige Ricky never landed a blow after a one-off trip from behind midfield.

Race Three : (427) - TSEUK LUK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

Horse No 1 HARMONY GALAXY (J266) B Avdulla Near the 300 Metres shifted out and bumped PRESTIGE RICKY.

Horse No 2 NOBLE PURSUIT (H324) E C W Wong After passing the 500 Metres was crowded for room by WAVE GARDEN which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) H Bowman ABSOLUTE AWAKENED, which was standing awkwardly in the barriers, was removed and subsequently took its place back in the field.

Bumped on jumping by CALIFORNIA BANNER which shifted out.

Trainer F C Lor advised the instructions were to have the horse ridden in a midfield position.

It was noted that in the early stages ABSOLUTE AWAKENED was caught wide and had to be eased further back in the field to obtain cover in the running line.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 PRESTIGE RICKY (K009) K C Leung Near the 300 Metres got unbalanced after being bumped by HARMONY GALAXY which shifted out.

K C Leung reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, PRESTIGE RICKY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 TO INFINITY (G277) A Badel Near the 150 Metres was steadied to avoid the heels of WAVE GARDEN which shifted in slightly when laying in.

Horse No 6 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) Z Purton Z Purton reported that it was not his intention to lead but due to the lack of early speed he was left with no option.

Horse No 8 INNO SUPER (K319) C L Chau C L Chau was fined the sum of $10,000 for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on five occasions inside the final 100 Metres.

Horse No 9 CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ABSOLUTE AWAKENED.

Horse No 10 WAVE GARDEN (K209) R Kingscote Fractious in the barriers and broke through prior to the start, however, was quickly restrained, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Horse No 11 ONE LOVE (K584) M Guyon M Guyon reported that in the early stages he was caught wide and therefore elected to press on and take up a forward position to trail the leader.

Horse No KA YING GLORY (K247) L Ferraris Withdrawn on 10.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right knee injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA BANNER.
