Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (418) - ON TING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 AUTOMATED (K177) R Kingscote Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 REZEKI (J340) A Atzeni On straightening after passing the 500 Metres was held up for clear running until after passing the 300 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FREE PONY (K229) M L Yeung M L Yeung reported that, in his opinion, his mount failed to run out the 1400 Metres of today's event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 STRATHPEFFER (H095) L Hewitson L Hewitson could not offer any excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, STRATHPEFFER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 5 ALL ROUND WINNER (K382) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BEAUTY VIVA (K155) H Bowman After being slow to begin was then crowded for room between ALL ROUND WINNER and STAR FIGURE which was taken in by BULL ATTITUDE after being bumped on the hindquarters by BLOSSOMY.
Horse No 7 FLYING KNIGHT (K370) D B McMonagle After passing the 300 Metres was checked when disappointed for clear running between ALL ROUND WINNER and FREE PONY (M L Yeung) which shifted out under pressure.
In assessing the incident the Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that FLYING KNIGHT had established clear running between both horses before FREE PONY shifted out.
Nevertheless M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care to prevent his mounts from shifting ground when they are under pressure.
Horse No 8 BLOSSOMY (L037) J Orman From the 500 Metres was unable to improve its position when held up for clear running in the early part of the Home Straight and continued to have difficulty gaining clear running thereafter until near the 100 Metres.
Horse No 9 GLORIOUS ST PAUL'S (K524) M F Poon M F Poon reported that his instructions were to take up a forward position, however, his mount raced quite greenly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly.
Passing the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted in when held up for clear running until after passing the 100 Metres.
Horse No 11 STAR FIGURE (K215) Z Purton Crowded for room after the start.
Horse No 12 BULL ATTITUDE (K305) C L Chau On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters by BLOSSOMY.

Favourite All Round Winner travelled one off behind midfield and kept on gamely after leading 150m out for a first local win at his 12th start. Rezeki just got the head down for second after a box-seat run. It was another good effort from gate one carrying 6lb more following a win. Win Speed grudgingly gave way after moving to the lead 300m out following a speed-tracking run. He was able to back up an improved third last start. Flying Knight just failed to get up for a placing after having to check off heels near the 200m out following a rails run from midfield. He should have at least placed. Punted late Beauty Viva made ground late for fifth after making his run one from the rear. He can bob up at any moment. Star Figure made ground late near the inside for sixth after a patient ride at the back from gate eight. Red Brick Warrior wove a run late to finish next best after making his run five back on the fence from gate four. It was a better effort.
