Race Four : (417) - LUNG YAT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ONE MAN SHOW (K409) K C Leung Crowded soon after the start.
Taken wider over the concluding stages by SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted out.
Horse No 3 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) K Teetan K Teetan was advised to exercise more care when allowing his mount to shift out over the concluding stages whilst riding it along with the whip and in doing so inconveniencing ONE MAN SHOW and JUICY DRAGON by taking both runners wider.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KINGDOM OF RICHES (K079) M L Yeung Blundered on jumping.
Horse No 5 SKY CAP (K125) E C W Wong Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount had to do a lot of work in the early stages to take up a forward position and, in his opinion, failed to handle the All Weather surface today at its first attempt.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 LUCKY SECRET (L073) J Orman Crowded soon after the start.
Hung out throughout the middle stages.
Horse No 7 NOTTHESILLYONE (J383) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that his mount failed to run on in the Home Straight after failing to handle the pressure in the early and middle stages from SKY CAP which was racing to its outside.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) Y L Chung Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount's performance which was, in his opinion, disappointing.

Horse No 10 SUPER MASTERMIND (K541) B Avdulla After being a little slow to begin was then checked when crowded for room between FORERUNNER and LUCKY SECRET which shifted in and away from ONE MAN SHOW which was also taken in by NOTTHESILLYONE despite the efforts of its rider.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 GOOD CHAP (J499) A Atzeni A short distance after the start became unbalanced when crowded for room between DAY DAY VICTORY and SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 JUICY DRAGON (K405) C Y Ho Taken wider over the concluding stages by ONE MAN SHOW which was taken out by SPEEDY SMARTIE.
As a result C Y Ho was unable to ride his mount out fully to the winning post when awkwardly placed on the heels of GOOD CHAP.
Horse No EXCEPTIONAL SANTOS (K441) C Y Ho EXCEPTIONAL SANTOS, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 6.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head and hind limb injuries).
Before being allowed to race again, EXCEPTIONAL SANTOS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Good Chap was wide without cover from better than midfield but just got up late to just knock off Speedy Smartie for a maiden win at his seventh start and first on dirt. Speedy Smartie was pipped on the wire leading 200m out after slotting one off travelling third from gate 12. It was another solid performance carrying 10lb more following a win. One Man Show stayed on well for third from better than midfield on the fence. He's run well to place in back-to-back runs carrying big weights following a switch to the all-weather track. Juicy Dragon just missed out on a placing after a prominent run one off the fence. He'll be a force to be reckoned with if he finds his way shortly into Class Five. Day Day Victory made inroads late for fifth after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. He has not disgraced without threatening in his past four starts after back-to-back wins.
