Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (415) - LUNG YAT HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 HERBAL STAR (L053) M Guyon Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages, obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MR COOL (K184) Z Purton Shifted out when negotiating the turn near the 700 Metres, making contact with the hindquarters of NATURAL HIGH.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 LUCKY XANDER (K407) D B McMonagle A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 NATURAL HIGH (J365) C L Chau Rounding the turn near the 700 Metres got unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by MR COOL which shifted out.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) M Chadwick Near the 700 Metres was eased to avoid the heels of HERBAL STAR which shifted in when not fully clear.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SMILING CHAMPION (K565) J Orman Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 8 GLACIATED (K272) C Y Ho Slow to begin.
Raced very wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.
Horse No 9 YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379) R Kingscote Slow to begin and then a short distance later was checked when crowded for room between KING DANCE which shifted in slightly and SMILING CHAMPION which jumped awkwardly and shifted out after being taken out slightly by LUCKY XANDER.
R Kingscote reported that the pre-race plans were to take up a forward position, however, was unable to do so after the incident at the start.
Horse No 10 SHINYU KOKOROE (K263) K Teetan Stumbled out of the barriers.
Horse No 11 GLORY CLOUD (H320) A Badel Near the 700 Metres was eased to avoid the heels of HINOKAMI KAGURA which also was eased to avoid the heels of HERBAL STAR which shifted in when laying in despite the efforts of its rider M Guyon.
In all the circumstances no further action was taken.
A Badel reported that his mount travelled well in the early stages, however, after suffering interference near the 700 Metres his mount failed to travel well after that.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 KING DANCE (K157) A Atzeni After passing the 300 Metres was disappointed for clear running between NATURAL HIGH and GLACIATED before shifting back to the inside of NATURAL HIGH to obtain clear running passing the 200 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No FLOWING RICHES (K293) E C W Wong Withdrawn on 7.2.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen left front leg) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ZOUPER FELLOW.
Before being allowed to race again, FLOWING RICHES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

King Dance settled five back and one off the fence before making a stylish bid through the centre after gaining a run 150m out to just pip Herbal Star on the wire for a maiden win at his seventh start. Herbal Star fell a head-bob short after leading 230m out following a speed-tracking run outside Zouper Fellow from gate 10. He's a winner waiting to happen. Glaciated ran on nicely with one wider out for third after a wide trip with cover travelling behind midfield from the widest draw. Mr Cool only plodded over the last 100m after getting every chance turning the final bend fourth and one off the fence. Specked late Shinyu Kokoroe launched late down the outside to grab fifth after a patient ride two from the rear. It was clearly his best run from 10 local starts.
