Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (402) - ROBIN'S NEST HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 LUNAR DASH (K334) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start.
K Teetan stated that his mount came under pressure in the early stages of the Home Straight before giving ground noticeably over the concluding stages.
Trainer B Crawford stated that the horse had pleased him leading into the race but as LUNAR DASH was racing first up from a two-month break he was of the opinion it would derive a fitness benefit from today's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of LUNAR DASH was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, LUNAR DASH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 STAR SATYR (K231) Z Purton On jumping was hampered when bumped by HAPPY BOSS.
Z Purton stated that his mount did not fully stretch out during the running of the race and he had some concern with its action when he placed it under pressure in the Home Straight.
Trainer A S Cruz advised that the horse had pleased him leading into the race but, in his opinion, would be better suited with a race being run with a more genuine pace.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of STAR SATYR was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race starts.
Before being allowed to race again, STAR SATYR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 NYX GLUCK (K438) J McDonald Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.
Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Near the 400 Metres shifted to the outside of STAR SATYR to obtain clear running and made contact with HAPPY BOSS.
Horse No 4 HAPPY BOSS (K453) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by NYX GLUCK which shifted out.
Bumped near the 400 Metres.
Horse No 5 BRIGHT DAY (J530) D B McMonagle From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 THOUSAND SPIRIT (K365) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 7 RAGING RAPIDS (J228) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
B Avdulla reported that near the 550 Metres his mount shifted in abruptly and became unbalanced and as a result he was obliged to correct the horse at that point.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 RISING PHOENIX (J498) J Orman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 CIRCUIT HAPPY (K482) M L Yeung Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
M L Yeung reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of CIRCUIT HAPPY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT HAPPY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 FLYING BOOM (K327) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 GIDDY UP (J020) M Guyon Jumped awkwardly and became unbalanced and shortly after was steadied to avoid STAR SATYR which shifted out after being bumped by HAPPY BOSS.
Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 13 WINNING DATA (H230) M Chadwick Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 850 Metres was steadied to avoid HAPPY ALLIANCE.

Punted late Rising Phoenix settled midfield on the rails and took the shortest route home to take control 120m out and remain perfect in two 1,400m starts from his past three outings. Circuit Fiery stayed on well for second after a prominent run on the fence. He has the tools to win in this grade after a Class Five success two runs ago. Nyx Gluck ran on nicely through the centre to just miss second prize money after biding his time four from the rear. It was another honest effort over the 1,400m. Thousand Spirit was on his tippy toes 100m out after dictating the run from gate three. He's building towards a win. Happy Boss made ground late for fifth without threatening the top four after a wide trip from behind midfield. It was a good run carrying 6lb more following a win. Flying Boom ran on late without menacing after making his run near the rear from gate 14.
