Recap by phillip woo

Copartner Fleet was ridden patiently third last from gate six, peeled into the open with one wider out at the 150m and quickened very well for a second win from nine starts. Beauty Thunder found one just too good after claiming the lead 150m out following a speed-tracking run. He's run very well in all three Valley 1,000m runs from seven starts this term. Bunta Baby ran on nicely along the inside for third after a rails run from midfield. It was another good effort carrying 5lb more following a win. Star Performer loomed a winning chance but peaked on his run 60m out following a one-off trip from midfield. It was another honest effort. Fun Elite stayed on for fifth without threatening the top four following a handy run one off the fence. He had no excuse. Happy United just plodded after a prominent run wide and without cover. Favourite Super Sixty was disappointing after getting all favours in the box seat. Smashed late in betting, Golden Friendship was a non-factor after a wide trip travelling midfield from gate 12.
