Recap by phillip woo

Positive Smile came from last and with one wider out from gate 13 to take control 80m for back-to-back wins from 16 starts. It's taken a while but he's in a rich vein of form now. Punted late Aeroinvincible kept on gamely for second after setting a decent pace in front from gate eight. He appreciated a return to his favourite 1,400m. Firming late in betting Forza Toro ran on well for third after switching to the inside 250m out travelling towards the rear for the most part from gate 12. It was a much better effort following a downgrade. Big Return ran on for fourth after improving following a sluggish start to find the rails in midfield. He was able to build on a grinding fifth last start over the Valley 1,200m. Well-backed Sterling Wongchoy just plodded after a box-seat run. It was an OK effort up in class off a lighter weight.
