Race Four : (377) - MR VITALITY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 PACKING GLORY (L013) Z Purton Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MASTER PHOENIX (J516) C Y Ho On jumping was crowded between NOBLE FANS and PACKING GLORY, both of which shifted ground.
Between the 400 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
After improving to the inside of LITTLE MONSTER near the 150 Metres then raced tight to the inside of LITTLE MONSTER for some distance thereafter when that runner lay in.
Passing the 100 Metres made contact with NOBLE FANS.
Horse No 3 GOLDEN WIN (L026) K C Leung On jumping blundered when bumped by LITTLE MONSTER which shifted in.
Horse No 4 MULTISUPERSTAR (L163) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Over the final 200 Metres was unable to be fully ridden out when racing tight to the inside of RUSSET GLOW.
Horse No 5 RUSSET GLOW (L059) L Hewitson On jumping made contact with the right side of its starting gate, became unbalanced and lost ground.
Horse No 6 SUPREME FEELING (L130) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 LITTLE MONSTER (K391) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with GOLDEN WIN.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 8 SUNNY Q (J223) J McDonald Bumped near the 450 Metres.
Horse No 9 PERIDOT (K148) B Avdulla Raced keenly in the middle stages.
For some distance after the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid ELEGANT LIFE.
Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres when being shifted to the outside of PACKING GLORY.
Horse No 10 NOBLE FANS (K038) A Atzeni Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Bumped passing the 100 Metres.
Horse No 11 GOOD FORTUNE (H349) M F Poon Near the 450 Metres became unbalanced when it shifted in and made contact with SUNNY Q.
Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 ISLAND BUDDY (J217) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) M L Yeung M L Yeung stated that from the outside barrier he was given no specific instructions.
He said when CIRCUIT DUFFY jumped well and he did not observe horses to his inside showing intent to go forward he then elected to ride his mount along to take up a position outside the lead.

Island Buddy led and just held off favourite Packing Glory for a maiden win at his 11th start. He was able to deliver with the headgear coming off at his first start for the Brett Crawford stable. Packing Glory just failed to get the win after a one-out, one-back run. It was a good run following a win and fifth from his first two career starts. Peridot ran on well for third after clearing traffic for a run 200m out following a rails run from better than midfield. Elegant Life kept plugging away for fourth after a box-seat run. It was a good effort at his first run back following a nosebleed in October. Sunny Q made ground late for fifth after finding the fence travelling five back from gate 13. He has the tools to add to an earlier 1,200m win. Noble Fans finished well late near the inside for sixth after binding his time three from the rear. It wasn't a bad effort.
