Race Ten : (383) - AEROVELOCITY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MICKLEY (K082) D B McMonagle Jumped awkwardly and then shortly after made contact with ORIGIN OF FORM when that runner shifted in.
Horse No 2 HEAVING (K576) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
Approaching the 700 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from HAPPY INDEX.
Between the 300 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of JUBILANT WINNER and HAPPY INDEX.
Horse No 3 RISING FORCE (K236) R Kingscote Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 HAPPY INDEX (L152) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 GIANT SPIRIT (L169) H T Mo Lay out making the turns in the middle stages.
Horse No 7 ORIGIN OF FORM (K517) M F Poon Bumped shortly after the start.
After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between MICKLEY which lay out and RYUI KOKOROE which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 8 A TIME FOR US (K475) M Guyon Near the 300 Metres was eased to avoid HEAVING when it shifted in towards HEAVING as HEAVING was improving to the outside of JUBILANT WINNER.
M Guyon reported that with blinkers being applied for the first time he was able to hold a more forward position from a favourable barrier.
Horse No 9 MOUNT EVEREST (K237) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 WINNING BUDDIES (L092) K C Leung K C Leung was fined the sum of $2,000 for initially presenting himself to be weighed out with the incorrect saddle cloth number.
Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by WOLF COMING which shifted in and away from RISING FORCE.
Horse No 11 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) L Hewitson Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 RYUI KOKOROE (L120) H Bentley Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight.
Over the concluding stages was unable to be fully tested when improving into a narrow run between RISING FORCE and JUBILANT WINNER.
Horse No 13 WOLF COMING (K353) K Teetan Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Horse No 14 JUBILANT WINNER (J346) A Badel Near the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid RISING FORCE (R Kingscote) which shifted in when not clear.
R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care.

Happy Index had a box seat run and was too good after leading 100m out for a first win at his second start. Rising Force grudgingly gave way after clearing to lead from gate 14. It was a solid effort carrying 10lb more following a win. Heaving ran on well to just win a ding-dong finish for third after finally clear runners for a run 200m out following a handy run on the fence from gate one. He's acclimatising well after showing promise in two of three local starts. Jubilant Winner just lost third after a speed-tracking run from gate five. Ryui Kokoroe made good ground late near the inside for fifth at massive odds after making his run second last from gate 10. It was clearly his best run. Mount Everest ran on without threatening with three wider out after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He found things harder up in class following a win.
