Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (373) - GREEN ISLAND HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) M Guyon Near the 400 Metres was bumped and taken wider by DRAGON AIR FORCE which shifted to the outside of ARIEL to improve.
Horse No 5 DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279) D B McMonagle Blundered on jumping and became unbalanced.
Approaching the 1500 Metres was steadied when crowded between COLOURFUL GAN which lay out and ANOTHER WORLD which was racing tight to the inside of ARIEL (R Kingscote).
R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care.
Briefly held up making the Home Turn before being shifted to the outside of ARIEL to improve and when being shifted out made contact with TELECOM FIGHTERS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) H Bentley Bumped near the 400 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SUPER UNICORN (H481) A Atzeni Shortly after the start was steadied to avoid DEFINITIVE (L Ferraris) which shifted in.
L Ferraris was reprimanded.
When questioned A Atzeni stated that after entering the Home Straight he had difficulty obtaining clear running behind ARIEL.
He said leaving the 300 Metres he endeavoured to improve into a narrow run between ARIEL and COLOURFUL GAN when those two runners shifted ground slightly and he was obliged to check his mount passing the 200 Metres when SUPER UNICORN did not respond sufficiently to his efforts to improve into the run.
As a result SUPER UNICORN was not ridden out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 STURDY RUBY (H207) M Chadwick Near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid SKY VINO when that runner shifted out slightly.
Held up for clear running on the Home Turn.
Near the 400 Metres made contact with YOUNG ACHIEVER.
Horse No 11 PRESTIGE SUPERIOR (K383) H T Mo Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 SKY VINO (K054) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly.
Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running and near the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of DRAGON AIR FORCE.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Well backed Dragon Air Force settled better than midfield on the rails before hitting th front 200m out and keeping on gamely for a fourth win on dirt from 18 starts. He deserved that after knocking on the door in recent runs. Sky Vino ran on nicely near the inside for second after getting held up for a run until the 200m following a rails run from just worse than midfield. He's given a good sight to place in both career runs on this surface. Early favourite Allcash surged late near the outside to just take third after making his run five back and one off the fence. It was another honest performance, but he may be looking for 1,800m. Old-timer Telecom Fighters stayed on well for fourth after finding a spot travelling one off in third from gate 14. It was a better effort following a downgrade and return to the all-weather surface. Another World succumbed over the last 100m for fifth after getting pressured for the lead to his outside by Ariel. Sturdy Ruby made some ground to finish next best after straightening three deep following a rails run travelling five back from gate seven. It was an OK effort at his initial run on the all-weather surface.
