Recap by phillip woo

Vulcanus travelled prominently on the fence carrying a share of top weight and reeled in the short-priced favourite Supreme Sea 80m out for a fourth win from 34 career starts. He's recorded two wins, a second and a fourth on this surface this season. Supreme Sea found one too good on the night after leading 200m out following a speed-tracking run. It was another good run carrying 135lb following a smart debut win. Mr Cool ran on nicely widest out after travelling wide towards the rear. It was an encouraging effort at his first start over the dirt 1,200m. So My Folks grudgingly gave way after quickly finding the front from gate 12. He was able to back up a close third at his initial dirt 1,200m run 17 days ago. Conrad The Great was making good ground late near the inside for fifth after a rails run from midfield. It was an improved effort following a switch in surfaces. Glory Cloud was making good ground late down the outside for a minor cheque after biding his time second last from gate 10. Quick Money ran on without threating after making his run three from the rear. Fortune Whiskey only kept on one paced from behind midfield.

Race Five : (369) - MARBLE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 SUPREME SEA (L088) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.

Near the 750 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid SO MY FOLKS (D B McMonagle) which shifted in when not clear.

D B McMonagle was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.

In this incident SUPREME SEA shifted out and as a consequence made contact with FLYING TING LOK.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 QUICK MONEY (K377) C L Chau Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 7 FLYING TING LOK (K228) J Orman Bumped near the 750 Metres.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
