Race Three : (367) - MARBLE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 HERBAL STAR (L053) J Orman Shifted in near the 700 Metres and was bumped.
Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) A Badel Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by FLOWING RICHES.
Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages.
Shifted out near the 600 Metres and bumped with MONTA FRUTTA.
Trainer C W Chang advised that from a wide barrier he had requested DAY DAY VICTORY to be ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages.
Horse No 3 FLOWING RICHES (K293) E C W Wong Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by INCREDIBLE MOMENT which shifted out.
Horse No 4 KINGDOM OF RICHES (K079) M L Yeung A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 GRAND MASTERMIND (L084) Z Purton Z Purton stated that he had concern with his mount's action in the Home Straight and as a result did not fully test it to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 MONTA FRUTTA (H455) L Ferraris Near the 600 Metres was bumped and carried wider by DAY DAY VICTORY which shifted out.
L Ferraris stated that from his wide barrier he was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 GLACIATED (K272) M Guyon Jumped only fairly.
Making the Home Turn raced tight between KINGDOM OF RICHES and GRAND MASTERMIND.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) M Chadwick Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Near the 700 Metres was hampered when bumped by HERBAL STAR which shifted in slightly.
M Chadwick reported that his mount did not appreciate racing on tonight's All Weather surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 JUICY DRAGON (K405) C Y Ho When being steadied to allow INCREDIBLE MOMENT to cross commenced to race keenly and as a result was awkwardly placed behind INCREDIBLE MOMENT for a short distance near the 750 Metres.
Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Approaching the 200 Metres was disappointed for clear running between HERBAL STAR and FLOWING RICHES which shifted out.
As a result JUICY DRAGON was steadied and shifted to the inside of FLOWING RICHES where it obtained clear running near the 150 Metres.

Favourite Speedy Smartie dictated the run from gate five and won as he pleased for a third win across both surfaces and first in Class Four plus three seconds from seven runs for his new trainer this term. Herbal Star stayed on very well for second after a handy run four wide without cover the entire from gate 10. It was his best run in Hong Kong following a downgrade. Flowing Riches just held on for third after a speed-tracking run from gate eight. It was a return to form following a switch in surfaces. Swagger Bro stayed on well for fourth after a wide trip with cover from midfield. It was another honest effort. Juicy Dragon kept on all right after sitting three wide travelling third from gate four. He's given a decent sight to finish in the mix in his past three starts. King Dance came from last and widest out to finish next best. He might be one to keep safe if he finds his way into Class Five on this surface. Heavily backed Incredible Moment had no excuse after a prominent run with cover. It was another disappointing effort at his initial run on dirt. Monta Frutta will sleep well after a five wide trip from midfield.
