Race Seven : (360) - TRIATHLON 1600M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 2 FLOW WATER FLOW (K562) D B McMonagle Near the 350 Metres was hampered when taken wider by MAZING GRACE which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 THE GOLDEN KNIGHT (K341) J Orman Bumped on jumping.
Near the 500 Metres was steadied to avoid ACE when racing keenly.
Approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Passing the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of AMAZING GAZE to obtain clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 BLOSSOMY (L037) M F Poon Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 8 SMART FAT CAT (K280) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.
Briefly held up approaching the 400 Metres.
Horse No 9 KYRUS TREASURE (K300) C L Chau C L Chau stated that after settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight, particularly with the early stages being run outside of standard time.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 STAR ELEGANCE (K536) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
K C Leung reported that he was instructed to go forward with the horse stepping up in distance and that it races in a one-paced manner.
Trainer D J Whyte confirmed the instructions issued.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 13 MAZING GRACE (K166) M L Yeung Near the 350 Metres shifted out before being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 14 NINJA DERBY (H339) L Hewitson L Hewitson stated that, in his opinion, the horse did not appreciate the step-up to Class
4.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Flow Water Flow dashed nicely near the outside from behind midfield to just deny The Golden Knight in the final few strides for a first win at his fourth start. The Golden Knight was topped late after poking his head in front 60m out with a bold move through the centre after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's promising without delivering. Amazing Gaze stayed on well for third after sitting three wide without cover travelling third from gate 14. It was another honest performance at his first start over 1,600m. Reliable Dad came from last and near the inside for fourth. He's caught the eye in his past two from outside draws over 1,400m from three starts. Smart Fat Cat just failed to get up for fourth near the outside after straightening one from the rear.
