Race Four : (357) - SWIMMING 1400M HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 TAOGETHER (K520) M Guyon M Guyon could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 EMBRACE ABERDEEN (L020) M F Poon Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
Horse No 4 LUCKY TWIN STARS (K126) C L Chau Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 RAGING RAPIDS (J228) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 POWER PATCH (L100) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly.
Hung out on the Home Turn.
K C Leung stated that his instructions were to hold a midfield position.
He said when caught wide in the early stages his mount raced keenly and as a result settled in a more forward position than expected although it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 7 LEADING AGILITY (K553) D B McMonagle Crowded shortly after the start.
When being crossed by EMBRACE ABERDEEN approaching the 900 Metres raced keenly.
Horse No 8 ONE LOVE (K584) H Bentley Jumped only fairly.
Between the 450 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 10 FLYING AMANI (K152) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between EMBRACE ABERDEEN and LEADING AGILITY which was taken out by CIRCUIT CENTURY.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 NAMJONG KINGDOM (K015) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
A Badel stated that the horse travelled satisfactorily from the inside barrier during the race.
He added when placed under pressure in the Home Straight NAMJONG KINGDOM did not respond to his riding and raced in a somewhat disappointing manner.
Horse No 12 ABSOLUTE HONOUR (K260) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 WINNING DIAMOND (K216) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly.
For a short distance approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No GOLDEN DREAM (K329) L Ferraris Withdrawn on 17.1.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ONE LOVE.
Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN DREAM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Lucky Twin Stars made his run from near the rear from gate nine when quickening nicely to get up 20m out for a maiden win at his seventh local start. He did run on for eighth last start over 1,200m following a downgrade. Post-time favourite Absolute Honour found one just too good after a prominent run on the fence. He's building towards a win with placings in back-to-back starts. Win Speed kept on for third after leading 300m out following a speed-tracking run. It was a return to form at his third start for his new trainer this term. Raging Rapids made good ground late down the outside for fourth after binding his time second last from gate 13. It was an encouraging run carrying 5lb more following a win. Punted late Embrace Aberdeen made a mild bid near the inside after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was an OK effort up in trip.
