Specked late in betting, Mighty Commander rocketed home from last and widest out to comfortably record his second win this term. He has returned an improved galloper this campaign. Perfectday travelled one off just behind midfield and ran on powerfully in the straight to just get the bob for second. He ran well again after a blistering first-up victory in a lower grade. California Blitz sat in the box seat from gate three and hit the lead at the 100m before being swamped by the first two home to finish third. It was a good performance up in grade after back-to-back wins. Friends Of Shajing settled one off in fourth and kept on well down the centre of the track in the straight for fourth. He is buidling towards a breakthrough win. Backed into favouritism, Sports Legend travelled two back on the fence and kept on solidly along the inside in the straight for fifth. He couldn't quite back up a brilliant last-start victory. Symbol Of Strength tracked the speed before peeling out three wide on the turn and staying on well for sixth. Power Koepp was trapped three wide and rolled forward to sit outside the lead before fading.

Horse No 2 KING MILES (J158) C Y Ho Near the 800 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid POWER KOEPP.

Raced wide and without cover from the 600 Metres.

Horse No 4 POWER KOEPP (E301) H Bowman Approaching the finishing line H Bowman was obliged to stop riding and straighten his mount when it shifted in towards WONDER KIT.

H Bowman stated that the instructions were to go forward.

He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow the horse to continue forward as the horse has a tendency to race keenly and to avoid POWER KOEPP racing in such a manner.

Horse No 5 SPORTS LEGEND (H456) Y L Chung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Horse No 6 PERFECTDAY (K238) Z Purton Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between SUGAR SUGAR and FRIENDS OF SHAJING which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.

Near the 100 Metres was shifted to the outside of FRIENDS OF SHAJING to continue into clear running.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when it improved behind SPORTS LEGEND.
