Recap by phillip woo

Rezeki settled in the box seat before taking control 150m and keeping on gamely for a maiden win at his 10th local start. Favourite Endeared stormed home late through the centre for second after getting held up early in the straight following a patient ride two from the rear. He is always a chance at this level. Circuit Fiery had his chance but found a couple too smart after a prominent run one off with cover from gate two. It was another good run up in grade on the back of some solid form in Class Five. Flying Boom ran on steadily after straightening four deep for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an improved run, but he had shown hints of ability at his opening three starts. Young Horizon ran on steadily for fifth after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. He's given a decent sight twice in the grade after a Class Five win in November.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four : (337) - WU KAU TANG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 ENDEARED (H161) Z Purton On jumping was crowded between RAINBOW WARRIOR and LUCKY MAN.

Between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when improving into a narrow run between THE HEIR and YOUNG HORIZON and as a result made contact with YOUNG HORIZON near the 350 Metres.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 SUPER LOVE (K118) H Bowman H Bowman stated his instructions were to take up an on-pace position if his mount jumped well but not to make use of it as SUPER LOVE does not finish its races off when being ridden in this manner.

He said when SUPER LOVE jumped well today he felt he would be able to cross THE HEIR but when THE HEIR held its position to his inside he was obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter as he was of the opinion he would have had to ride contrary to his instructions to make use of SUPER LOVE in the early stated to cross that runner.

He added due to racing very wide his mount did not finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 BRIGHT DAY (J530) J Orman Bumped near the 500 Metres.

Horse No 4 FLYING KNIGHT (K370) D B McMonagle Near the 500 Metres bumped with BRIGHT DAY and became unbalanced.

Horse No 5 THE HEIR (H459) C Y Ho Near the 100 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded between ENDEARED and FLYING BOOM which shifted out slightly.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 6 REZEKI (J340) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 RAINBOW WARRIOR (K348) L Hewitson Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and lost ground.

Horse No 8 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and was then shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier.

Horse No 9 FLYING BOOM (K327) M F Poon Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by CIRCUIT FIERY which shifted out.

Horse No 10 INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) A Badel When placed under pressure over the final 200 Metres lay out.

Horse No 11 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) H Bentley Shifted out on jumping and was bumped.

Horse No 12 FRANTANCK (H429) Y L Chung Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to go forward.

He said when FRANTANCK jumped only fairly and did not show sufficient pace in the early stages despite being ridden along it settled further back in the field than intended.

Horse No 13 LUCKY MAN (J315) R Kingscote Shifted in on jumping and bumped ENDEARED.

R Kingscote stated that from a wide barrier he had to make use of his mount in the early stages to take up a position outside the lead.

He said as a result LUCKY MAN could not finish the race off in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 14 YOUNG HORIZON (G272) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.

Bumped near the 350 Metres.
