Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Invincible Ibis was ridden patiently fourth last and quickened nicely with one wider out to overhaul Beauty Bolt in the dying stages for a fourth win from seven starts. He has a very bright future. Beauty Bolt did everything right but get the win after surging to the lead 200m out following a one-off trip settling midfield from gate 14. He lost nothing in defeat carrying 134lb. The Red Hare ran on nicely near the inside for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He had no issues with a step up to 1,600m after a 1,400m success. Supreme Mastermind came from last with three wider out to take fourth. It was an eye-catching run up in class after disappointing in back-to-back runs over 1,800m and 2,000m. California Waves stayed on well through the centre for fifth after a wide trip without cover from behind midfield.
