Racing Incident Report
Race Seven : (331) - CHATER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) K C Leung When giving ground near the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between RED ELEGANCE and WHIZZ KID.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 2 HORSEPOWER (J431) Z Purton Leaving the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid WHIZZ KID when racing keenly.
Lay in over the final 150 Metres.
Horse No 3 RED ELEGANCE (H241) H Bowman Near the 100 Metres made contact with HARMONY N BLESSED when racing tight between HARMONY N BLESSED and BLUE ILLUSION.
H Bowman stated that his instructions were to settle where comfortable but attempt to hold a handy position.
He said when RED ELEGANCE commenced well he was able to settle in a forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010) E C W Wong Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 7 WONDERSTAR (J531) M Guyon On jumping was bumped by ETERNAL FORTUNE which shifted out slightly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 BLUE ILLUSION (K468) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly.
Leaving the 150 Metres was briefly crowded between RED ELEGANCE and BUNDLE OF CHARM.
Horse No 9 LOVE TOGETHER (L052) C Y Ho Shortly after the start bumped heavily with FIERY STEED when both runners shifted ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 BUNDLE OF CHARM (G213) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Leaving the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the inside of METRO POWER to continue into clear running.
Horse No 11 FIERY STEED (K575) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start bumped heavily with LOVE TOGETHER when both runners shifted ground.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 INVINCIBLE STARR (L078) M F Poon M F Poon reported that on jumping he became unbalanced, resulting in his left foot being dislodged from his stirrup for a short distance and his mount losing ground.

Favourite Love Together had a one-ff trip in midfield and quickened nicely one off the fence to collar Wonderstar 30m out for a first win at his fourth local start. The win was forthcoming after a close second two runs ago. Sensationally backed Wonderstar found one just too good after assuming the lead 200m out following a speed-chasing run on the fence from gate four. He has given a good sight to place in both Valley 1,000m runs. Punted late Eternal Fortune just got up for third after a prominent run. It was another honest performance. Veteran Whizz Kid ran on late to just miss a placing after travelling three wide and with cover in midfield from gate 12. He's always a chance over the Valley 1,000m. Metro Power gradually faded after working hard to lead one off the entire trip from gate nine. He's gone well in his past two starts following a switch to the Valley. Horsepower made good ground late to just miss after a wide trip travelling three from the rear. Bundle Of Charm was doing his best work late near the inside to finish next best after making his run one from the rear. He's better suited over 1,200m.
