Amazing Kid travelled prominently one off the fence and rushed to the lead 150m out to make it back-to-back wins despite carrying a 6lb penalty. He's hit his straps now and can win another. Master Resolute rushed home nicely near the inside for second after biding his time fourth last from gate nine. It was clearly his best run to date. Punted late Gameplayer Elite ran on well for third after a handy run along the inside. It was a much-improved effort after rejoining his former stable. Loving Vibes produced another honest performance for fourth but did have his chance after landing a spot in the box seat. Big Return ran on steadily for fifth without threatening the top four after a one-off trip from midfield. He's given a better sight in two of his past three starts. Lakeshore Hero ran on late near the outside to just get his head down for sixth prize money after biding his time fourth last from gate 11. Vigor Elleegant ran on without menacing after making his run third last following a very slow start. Run Run Smart tamely faded after travelling keenly on the speed from gate one. It was an out-of-character performance.

Race Two : (326) - JACKSON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 LUCKY TWENTY (K392) E C W Wong Shifted out shortly after the start, was bumped and became unbalanced.

Apprentice E C W Wong reported that when under pressure in the Home Straight he was concerned with his mount's action and as a consequence he eased it down when not in a competitive position.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY TWENTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 2 MARVEL AND GOLD (K109) B Avdulla Badly crowded shortly after the start.

Approaching the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of BIG RETURN.

Horse No 3 RUN RUN SMART (K080) Z Purton Bumped shortly after the start.

When questioned Z Purton stated that making the first turn his mount changed stride and became awkward in its action.

He said after this RUN RUN SMART did not travel well and when he was concerned there was something amiss with the horse he eased it down in the Home Straight when it commenced to give ground.

Trainer F C Lor advised the horse had pleased him leading into the race and he had not identified any issue with its action in training.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of RUN RUN SMART was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, RUN RUN SMART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 CELESTIAL STRIDER (L009) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was severely checked when crowded between SPEEDY TRIDENT and MARVEL AND GOLD which was taken out by LUCKY TWENTY.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 5 BIG RETURN (K192) J Orman Made contact with a rail entering the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.

Jumped only fairly.

Horse No 6 LOVING VIBES (J359) C L Chau Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.

Horse No 8 MASTER RESOLUTE (K403) R Kingscote Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 AMAZING KID (K434) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 10 VIGOR ELLEEGANT (J375) M Chadwick Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground.

Before being allowed to race again, VIGOR ELLEEGANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

Horse No 11 GAMEPLAYER ELITE (H356) H Bentley Between the 300 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of AMAZING KID.

Horse No 12 SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230) Y L Chung Shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced when crowded between CELESTIAL STRIDER and MASTER RESOLUTE.
