Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (295) - LONG KE HANDICAP - Class 2 - 2000Meters
Horse No 1 SWORD POINT (G448) D Probert Shifted in abruptly at the start and made contact with BRAVEHEARTS.
D Probert could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of SWORD POINT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, SWORD POINT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 LO RIDER (K161) H Bentley H Bowman was fined the sum of $5,000 for being unable to make the weight.
As such permission was given for H Bentley to be substituted as the rider of LO RIDER.
Made contact with a rail when entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.
In the early stages raced keenly when being steadied to allow NUMBERS to cross.
H Bentley reported that his mount was able to obtain a trailing position in the early stages but did not respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing.

Horse No 3 KA YING GENERATION (J075) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that in the Home Straight his mount was one-paced and finished the race off only fairly.

Horse No 4 AWESOME FLUKE (J050) A Atzeni Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.
Horse No 5 NUMBERS (L080) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 WINNING WING (K129) H T Mo Near the 200 Metres was shifted to the outside of AWESOME FLUKE to continue into clear running.

Horse No 7 NOISY BOY (J536) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 8 BRAVEHEARTS (H389) M F Poon On jumping was steadied when crowded by SWORD POINT which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider.

Numbers kept up a strong gallop from the front after turning the final bend nearly two lengths on top for a first local win. Winning Wing weaved a run for second after making his run at the rear in the small field of nine. He ran well but found one too good on the day after back-to-back wins. Gentlemen Legacy finished well for third after a rails run from behind midfield. He handled himself well up in grade off a light weight. Punted late Noisy Boy was given every chance but whacked on one paced following a prominent run on the fence. It wasn't a bad effort in a higher grade. Bravehearts ran on late for fifth after making his run second last. He's a better prospect in Class Three. Specked late Awesome Fluke just plodded when asked for an effort following a prominent run. Ka Ying Generation was disappointing after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He couldn't build on a third two runs ago over this trip despite a downgrade.
