Recap by phillip woo

Aurio travelled in the box seat from gate one before charging to the lead near the 100m and proving too good for a first win at his 13th local start. He lived up to a smart second on his season debut earlier this month. Little Monster closed off nicely to just grab second after a rails run from midfield. He did up put the writing on the wall at his second start before failing last time out after a torrid trip. Victory Champion finished nicely to make it close for second after making his run five back and one off the fence. It was an improved effort. Vigor Eye lost a placing late after having to work forward three wide to eventually sit one off in second behind Snowthorn 880m out. Snowthorn grudgingly gave way after straightening two lengths on top in the lead from gate three. He was runner-up two runs ago at the Valley and will be a force to be reckoned with if he finds his way into Class Five. I Excelle just plodded after a rails run from midfield. It wasn't a bad run on debut.
