Recap by phillip woo

Thumped late to jump favourite, Sports Legend settled handy and one off the fence before hitting the lead near the 100m and drawing clear for a third win over the Valley 1,200m from 21 local starts. Friends Of Shajing ran on nicely with one wider out for second after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an improved performance wearing a tongue tie at his third start this term. Lucky Planet kept on well for third after setting a genuine pace in front from gate four. He should get away with a race shortly. Punted late Perfect General ran on well for fourth after travelling fourth last and three wide from gate 11. It was a good performance up in grade following a win. Early favourite King Miles just plodded after a prominent run one off the fence. It was an OK effort after copping a five-point penalty for a second win last start from three outings this term. Symbol Of Strength just lost a battle for fifth after a box-seat run. He's still acclimatising. Both All Too Brave and Lightness of Being struggled to stay in touch with the rest of the pace. Prestige Superior badly missed the kick and never threatened.
