Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (275) - AMARYLLIS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 RATTAN GALAXY (K143) H Doyle Jumped only fairly.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 SMILING EMPEROR (J371) H Bentley On jumping was bumped by MEEPMEEP which shifted in.
Horse No 3 BLING BLING GENIUS (J397) H Bowman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 5 ONLY U (J037) J McDonald Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres.
Near the 200 Metres was then steadied when disappointed for clear running between VON BAER and THE WAY WE WIN which was taken out by MAJESTIC DELIGHT when that runner shifted out when giving ground.
Over the final 50 Metres was held up for clear running behind THE CONCENTRATION and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 ZETTA FORCE (J546) C L Chau Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
C L Chau reported that in the Home Straight when placed under pressure his mount failed to respond and when not in a competitive position he eased it down over the final 200 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
The performance of ZETTA FORCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, ZETTA FORCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 MEEPMEEP (H234) M Guyon Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 8 IRON LEGION (J459) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Raced keenly in the early stages.
Horse No 9 MAJESTIC DELIGHT (K189) B Avdulla Lay out under pressure over the 300 Metres.
Horse No 10 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Briefly held up leaving the 400 Metres.
Lay in over the final 200 Metres.
Horse No 11 SHOTGUN (K111) J Orman Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running behind MAJESTIC DELIGHT.
Horse No 12 THE CONCENTRATION (H465) L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position.
He said when THE CONCENTRATION commenced well he was able to capitalise on the good start and hold a more forward position.
Horse No 13 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 THE WAY WE WIN (J493) M L Yeung Near the 200 Metres was taken out by MAJESTIC DELIGHT.

Manythanks Forever had an ideal run handy to the speed and one off the fence from gate 12 before hitting the lead 160m out en route to a second win from 23 starts. He has interestingly won both times in December over 1,400m. Rattan Galaxy ran on well for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He appreciated a downgrade. The Concentration found a couple too good after leading 250m out following a one-off trip sitting third from gate nine. He's a winner waiting to happen. My Flying Angel dashed late down the outside to just get the nose down for fourth after making his run third last from gate nine. It was another honest 1,400m effort. Bling Bling Genius ran on nicely to just miss fourth prize money after pulling out sharply for a run at the 300m following a patient ride second last from gate seven. He might be looking for a mile trip.
