Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (274) - TULIP HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 QUICK MONEY (K377) C L Chau C L Chau reported that his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages and endeavour to find cover.
He added that throughout the early stages QUICK MONEY raced keenly and would not settle as he endeavoured to comply with his instructions.
Horse No 2 AMAZING PARTNERS (K554) C Y Ho Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 3 I AM BACK (L061) D Probert Passing the 1100 Metres became slightly unbalanced when racing tight between MEGA MASTERMIND and STRAIGHT TO GLORY.
Horse No 4 MEGA MASTERMIND (L044) B Avdulla Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.
Passing the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded between I AM BACK which was taken out slightly by STRAIGHT TO GLORY and TAI VICTORY (H T Mo) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
H T Mo was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 5 LUCKY FIELD (K292) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly, shifted in, made contact with MEGA MASTERMIND and as a result lost ground.
In the early stages raced ungenerously.
Near the 900 Metres was briefly crowded by MEGA MASTERMIND and then hung out shortly afterwards and as a result became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 TAI VICTORY (K124) H T Mo A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 SUNNY Q (J223) J McDonald Jumped only fairly.
Near the 800 Metres was crowded between LUCKY FIELD and QUICK MONEY which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) K C Leung On jumping shifted in and away from I AM BACK after making contact with that runner.
As a result STRAIGHT TO GLORY then shifted in and made contact with AMAZING PARTNERS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 GOOD CHAP (J499) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 11 PATCH OF TIME (H483) K Teetan K Teetan reported that from the outside barrier he was given the option of taking up a forward position if his mount jumped well.
He said when PATCH OF TIME commenced well he elected to go forward and comply with his instructions but was unable to cross runners to his inside and as a result PATCH OF TIME raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 12 GLACIATED (K272) M Guyon Sent for sampling post-race.

Glaciated settled in the box seat from gate two before poking his head in front 100m out and outduelling Straight To Glory for a maiden win at his 10th start. Straight To Glory found one just too good after briefly leading 150m out following a one-out, one-back run. He's close to a win. Amazing Partners ran on well for third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a promising effort on debut after showing signs of ability in four trials. Good Chap ran on steadily for fourth after finding the rails in midfield following a tardy start. He gave a good sight. Ka Ying Warrior gradually faded after going for home on top 300m out following a speed-tracking run from gate 11. Sunny Q ran on late down the outside without threatening after turning the final bend one from the rear.
