Race Seven : (241) - AUSTIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 VULCANUS (J150) H Bowman Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 FORTUNE WHISKEY (J153) E C W Wong On jumping was checked when crowded between CIRCUIT GOGO and NOTTHESILLYONE, both of which shifted ground.
Horse No 4 HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 CIRCUIT GOGO (L002) M F Poon Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 SOLO LEVELLING (K560) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, SOLO LEVELLING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 STAR FIGURE (K215) J McDonald In the early stages of the Home Straight lay in when being shifted to the outside of VULCANUS to obtain clear running.
Horse No 8 KA YING RESILIENCE (J439) K Teetan K Teetan stated that his mount travelled comfortably outside the lead in the early stages but came under pressure on entering the Home Straight after which it did not respond to his riding.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 THE ALL ROUNDER (K402) A Atzeni Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 10 JOLLY COMPANION (H454) M Guyon Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and lost ground.
Raced wide and without cover from the 700 Metres.
Horse No 11 NOTTHESILLYONE (J383) L Ferraris Shifted in at the start and became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters.
Sent for sampling post-race.

Punted late Notthesillyone took up the front-running role from gate 10 and after straightening a length on top, he scrambled in for a third win from 14 starts. Vulcanus ran on nicely through the centre to finish a close second after coming to the final bend one-off travelling behind midfield. He relished a return to the dirt 1,200m of a win two runs ago. Star Figure let down late with two wider out for third after a patient ride third last from gate seven. It was another good at his initial start on dirt. Sight Dreamer plugged on for fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He was able to back up an encouraging third when trying the dirt 1,650m last start despite a step back in distance. Daily Trophy ran on late along the inside for fifth after making his run three from the rear. He rarely produces a bad run on this surface. Favourite Ka Ying Resilience gradually faded after chasing the eventual winner one off from gate 11.
