He's returned to form over his preferred 1,400m in his past two of three starts for his new trainer this term. Fortune Kingo ran on well for third after making his run three from the rear. He was able to build on a closing sixth when trying the dirt 1,650m at his second career run. Well backed Volcanic Spark came from last for fourth. It was a much-improved effort at his second 1,400m start this term. Early favourite City Thunder stayed on all right for fifth after getting held up between the 400m and 250m following a rails run from midfield. It was an encouraging run following a tendon injury. Kyrus Treasure made ground for sixth after a rails run from behind midfield. He's shown natural progress on his three starts.
