Favourite Little Paradise tracked the speed oustide Ka Ying Attack from gate eight and was too smart after leading 300m out for a fourth win from seven starts. Top Dragon stayed on very well for second after improving to sit three wide in fifth coming to the final bend following a slow start. It was a solid run in defeat carrying a share of top weight. Etalon Or ran on nicely for third after a one-off trip from midfield. He held his own up in grade off a light weight. Ghorgan just got the head down for fourth after chasing the speed three wide and without cover from gate nine. It was his best run. Punted late Bucephalas should have finished closer after coming up short of room over the final 200m following a rails run from behind midfield. It was an improved effort with a return to Class Three after a win. Forza Toro just lost fifth late after a prominent run one off the fence. He's one to keep safe with Class Four looming large.

Race Ten : (244) - SALISBURY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) Z Purton Shifted in near the 1100 Metres and was bumped.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 TOP DRAGON (J481) J McDonald Jumped only fairly.

Leaving the 700 Metres was bumped by ETALON OR.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 YOUNG ACHIEVER (J291) H Bowman Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

H Bowman could offer no explanation for the horse's disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 KA YING ATTACK (J391) J Orman Shifted out at the start and made contact with LUCKY SAM GOR.

J Orman stated that from a wide barrier he was asked to take up a handy position but after commencing well as KA YING ATTACK was positioned wide he elected to go forward and lead to avoid racing wide.

Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued those instructions as he was of the view that there was less pace in this race as compared to the horse's first up run on 26 October 2025.

Horse No 5 GUMMY GUMMY (H089) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start.

After travelling a short distance was bumped by ETALON OR which shifted in and away from LITTLE PARADISE.

Approaching the 1000 Metres was eased when racing tight to the inside of GRATIFIDE which was racing tight to the inside of TOP DRAGON.

Horse No 6 GHORGAN (K199) M Guyon Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 8 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) Y L Chung Y L Chung stated that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run during the race but responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 GRATIFIDE (K550) R Kingscote Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with ETALON OR.

When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight R Kingscote stated that soon after entering the Home Straight he was mindful of ETALON OR being positioned to his inside and in advance of him looking to shift out.

He said once ETALON OR had cleared him near the 300 Metres he then had GUMMY GUMMY improve to his inside and made contact with GRATIFIDE as GUMMY GUMMY endeavoured to shift out.

He said as a consequence between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres he did not use the whip on the horse and when he was satisfied that GRATIFIDE was giving its best during this section of the race he did not see it necessary to increase his vigour.

He added that when he was satisfied he was not in a position to interfere with GUMMY GUMMY he was able to apply more vigour to the horse, particularly over the concluding stages.

The Stewards noted the explanation provided by Jockey Kingscote and advised him that, wherever possible, he should ensure that he fully tests his mounts to obtain the best possible placing in the field.

Horse No 10 FORZA TORO (K355) A Atzeni Bumped at the start.

Near the 1100 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by LITTLE PARADISE which shifted in slightly.

Horse No 12 BUCEPHALAS (K096) M Chadwick Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.

Over the final 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the race.

Horse No 13 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) M F Poon Bumped at the start.

For some distance after the 450 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind GUMMY GUMMY.

Over the final 50 Metres could not be fully ridden out when held up between GHORGAN and BUCEPHALAS.

Horse No 14 ETALON OR (J273) H Bentley Crowded shortly after the start.

In the middle stages raced keenly and leaving the 700 Metres shifted out and made contact with TOP DRAGON when being steadied away from FORZA TORO.
