Race Four : (220) - CLASS 4 1200M TURF HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 EVER LUCK (K235) J Orman Bumped heavily at the start.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 CROSSBORDERDUDE (L022) B Avdulla Shifted in shortly after the start, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Leaving the 750 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Horse No 3 GOLDEN DREAM (K329) M L Yeung Made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground.
For some distance near the 1000 Metres was awkwardly placed close to I P O BROS when that runner was being shifted in.
Horse No 4 GOLDEN TRIUMPH (K506) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and then was steadied to avoid CROSSBORDERDUDE when that runner shifted in slightly.
Horse No 5 JOY CAPITAL (K573) C Y Ho C Y Ho reported that on jumping his left foot made contact with the starting gate partition.
Jockey Ho was subsequently examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.
Horse No 6 LEADING AGILITY (K553) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 7 MAJESTIC VALOUR (L016) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 ROBOT STAR (K559) C L Chau On jumping made heavy contact with EVER LUCK, became unbalanced and lost ground.
Horse No 9 STRAIGHT TO GLORY (K340) K C Leung Leaving the 750 Metres shifted out and away from the running rail and made contact with CROSSBORDERDUDE when that runner shifted in and away from CONRAD THE GREAT.
As a result CROSSBORDERDUDE then shifted in slightly due to the contact, resulting in STRAIGHT TO GLORY being checked when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of CROSSBORDERDUDE.
Horse No 10 CONRAD THE GREAT (K217) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 ENJOY GOLF (J222) H Bentley Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.

Debutant Majestic Valour won going away in a good time after a one-out, one-back run. He lived up to his trials and clearly has a bright future. Odds-on favourite Ever Luck found one too smart after emerging the leader 1,000m out from gate one. He was carrying 8lb more following a nice debut win. Debutant Leading Agility just outpointed fellow first starter Robot Star through the centre for third after finding the fence five back from gate 11. It was an encouraging performance. It was also a promising effort by the late-fancied Robot Star, who worked home late near the outside after making his run just outside Leading Agility. Enjoy Golf just plodded when asked for an effort after a prominent run on the fence. He continues to disappoint this term. Straight To Glory ran on well to dead-heat for fifth after losing ground from behind midfield when badly impeded 700m out. He had a clear excuse.
