After a wide trip without cover travelling midfield from gate nine, King Miles quickened nicely through the centre to just get the nose down to edge both Prestige Always and Kyrus Dragon for a second win this term. Prestige Always came up a lip short with his late bid after a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to back up an improved third last start. Kyrus Dragon finished strongly along the inside to miss second by a nose after a patient ride fourth last. It was another solid run carrying top weight following a win. Firming favourite Akashvani just finished out of the placings after getting bottled up for a run until the 200m following a prominent run along the inside. Spicy Gold was doing his best work late to finish a close fifth after making his run third last from a tricky gate. He rarely produces a bad run. Lucky Planet gradually faded after chasing leader Candlelight Dinner one off from gate 12. He'll be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Four. Charming Babe had his chance sitting third in the run with cover but wasn't up to the challenge when push came to shove.

Race Nine : (216) - CULLODEN BRIDGE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

Horse No 2 SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352) C L Chau Leaving the 1100 Metres was crowded between AKASHVANI and PRESTIGE ALWAYS which lay in and away from CHARMING BABE.

Near the 250 Metres was disappointed for clear running between CHARMING BABE and LUCKY PLANET.

As a result SYMBOL OF STRENGTH was unable to obtain clear running for the remainder of the event.

Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race.

Horse No 4 AKASHVANI (K234) Z Purton Leaving the 1100 Metres was bumped by SYMBOL OF STRENGTH and as a consequence became unbalanced.

Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running to the outside of CANDLELIGHT DINNER and in this incident made contact with LUCKY PLANET on a number of occasions.

Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 5 KING MILES (J158) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.

After travelling a short distance shifted in and away from NORTHERN FIRE BALL and was steadied to avoid CANDLELIGHT DINNER.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) H Bentley Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 8 ALL TOO BRAVE (K493) L Hewitson Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground.

Horse No 10 GREATER BAE (L033) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start shifted in and was awkwardly placed close to NORTHERN FIRE BALL.

When commencing to finish the race off well became held up for clear running behind AKASHVANI leaving the 50 Metres and as a result could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.

Horse No 11 NORTHERN FIRE BALL (J488) Y L Chung Raced keenly in the middle stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 LUCKY PLANET (H235) M F Poon Lay in after travelling a short distance, resulting in its rider M F Poon having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres was bumped by AKASHVANI on a number of occasions as it endeavoured to prevent AKASHVANI from shifting out.

Over the concluding stages raced tight between AKASHVANI and CHARMING BABE.
