Recap by phillip woo

Well-backed Fit For Beauty travelled better than midfield on the rails and took control 50m out for a maiden win. He enjoyed an easier time from gate three after running well after covering ground from wide draws in his first two starts. Lucky Man kept on nicely for second after a prominent run on the fence. He produced a much better run from gate one after getting no favours last start from gate 14. Thousand Spirit found a couple just too good in the concluding stages after heading straight to the lead from gate six. It was his best effort. Super Sicario ran on steadily for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an encouraging run at his first start over 1,400m. Favourite Sunny Q was doing his best work late for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. He went OK but is more effective over 1,200m. Happy Boss ran on nicely through the centre for sixth after making his run two from the rear from gate 12. It was a good run on debut.
