Favourite Patch Of Stars settled one out, one back before surging to the lead 250m out and keeping on gamely for a fifth win and two on the bounce following a step back to 1,200m. Invincible Shield ran on nicely to finish a close second after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a better effort second up this term following a downgrade. Wellbacked Aeris Nova made good ground late through the centre after getting held up for a run between the 350m and 200m following a rails run travelling behind midfield following a tardy start. He's run well without winning in three starts across both tracks this term. Dancing Code just held his ground after a box-seat run. It was another honest performance. Swift Ascend wove a run late for fifth after making his run at the rear from gate 14. It was a good effort first up this term. Lady's Choice gradually faded to finish sixth after working hard to track the pace from gate 10 carrying top weight.

Race Seven : (185) - THE LUKFOOK JEWELLERY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 2 - 1200Meters

Horse No 2 INVINCIBLE SHIELD (K168) C Y Ho Bumped leaving the 900 Metres.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 DANCING CODE (G365) E C W Wong Near the 100 Metres was hampered when crowded between INVINCIBLE SHIELD and LADY'S CHOICE which shifted out before being corrected by its rider.

Horse No 4 GORGEOUS WIN (J008) R Kingscote Near the 1000 Metres shifted in and made contact with WHIZZ KID when being steadied to avoid AURORA LADY (J McDonald) which shifted in when not quite clear.

J McDonald was advised to exercise more care.

Bumped leaving the 600 Metres.

Horse No 5 HORSEPOWER (J431) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.

After being crossed by INVINCIBLE SHIELD near the 1000 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being checked to avoid INVINCIBLE SHIELD for some distance thereafter.

In this incident HORSEPOWER shifted out and made contact with MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE.

M Chadwick reported that his mount refused to settle in the early and middle stages.

He said after being held up for clear running in the early stages of the Home Straight he was able to commence to ride his mount along but near the 150 Metres was obliged to check HORSEPOWER to avoid AURORA LADY which was giving ground.

He added after this incident HORSEPOWER finished the race off only fairly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 AURORA LADY (J066) J McDonald When shifting in near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied by its rider J McDonald.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 7 HARMONY N BLESSED (E061) H Doyle A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 STORM RIDER (J027) K Teetan From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

K Teetan reported that leaving the 600 Metres his mount commenced to race fiercely and as a consequence he was obliged to check STORM RIDER when positioned close to the heels of MASTEROFMYUNIVERSE.

In this incident STORM RIDER shifted out and made contact with GORGEOUS WIN.

Horse No 11 AERIS NOVA (J534) M F Poon Raced keenly in the middle stages and for some distance near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid CALL ME GLORIOUS.

Horse No 12 WHIZZ KID (E392) H Bentley Near the 900 Metres was steadied to allow AURORA LADY to cross.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 13 CALL ME GLORIOUS (H410) M L Yeung Leaving the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from DANCING CODE and as a result made contact with INVINCIBLE SHIELD.

Horse No 14 SWIFT ASCEND (H395) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres was held up for clear running and passing the 150 Metres was shifted to the outside of DANCING CODE to obtain clear running.
