Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (188) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY NIGHT BANQUET IN TANG PALACE COLLECTIONHANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) L Ferraris L Ferraris advised that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 2 WINNING GOLD (H461) E C W Wong Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
C L Chau (PRESTIGE GOOD) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 150 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of WINNING GOLD, resulting in WINNING GOLD having to be checked to avoid PRESTIGE GOOD.
C L Chau was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at Happy Valley.
In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.
Horse No 3 POPE CODY (K313) J Orman Bumped shortly after the start.
Horse No 4 YUEN LONG ELITE (J272) H Bowman Near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running before being shifted to the inside of LEGENDARY YEARS to obtain clear running.
Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres raced tight to the inside of ANOTHER WORLD.
H Bowman reported that the intention was to be more forward but after his mount commenced only fairly and then was crowded to the inside of BEAUTY BOLT it then settled further back in the field than intended.
Horse No 5 BEAUTY BOLT (K491) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 MORGAN SUCCESS (K203) L Hewitson Near the 1200 Metres commenced to race keenly and was checked to avoid PRESTIGE GOOD.
Horse No 7 PRESTIGE GOOD (K131) C L Chau Bumped shortly after the start.
C L Chau was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 150 Metres (see WINNING GOLD).
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 8 FORTUNE BOY (K098) K Teetan Shortly after the start was crowded between PRESTIGE GOOD and ANOTHER WORLD which shifted in and away from MORGAN SUCCESS.
Lay in in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider K Teetan correcting his mount approaching the 50 Metres.
Horse No 10 MISTER DAPPER (H376) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 CALIFORNIA WAVES (K477) H Doyle Leaving the 400 Metres was briefly held up for clear running behind BEAUTY BOLT.
Near the 250 Metres was momentarily crowded by POPE CODY which shifted in.
Horse No 12 ANOTHER WORLD (K005) C Y Ho Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.
C Y Ho stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position.
He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to continue forward to cross runners to his inside to avoid covering additional ground.
Horse No 13 SPIRIT OF PEACE (K007) A Atzeni On jumping shifted out and made contact with MISTER DAPPER, resulting in SPIRIT OF PEACE shifting in and making contact with POPE CODY soon after.
Between the 450 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 14 LEGENDARY YEARS (K286) M L Yeung On jumping was crowded by WINNING GOLD which shifted out.
Horse No FLYING LUCK (J339) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 14.11.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter ANOTHER WORLD.
Before being allowed to race again, FLYING LUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

12 November 2025 Happy Valley Racemeeting Race 9 (178) A Badel (HUGE WAVE) was fined the sum of $5,000 for using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on three occasions between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres.

Favourite Beauty Bolt travelled one off better than midfield and ran on nicely to get up 150m out for a second win and first over 1,600m from five starts. Mister Dapper kept on gamely for second after leading around the final bend following a hard run to track the speed from gate 10. It was a better effort at his second start this term. Max Que ran on nicely to finish a close third after a rails run from midfield. He's held his form well for thirds in a pair of 1,600m runs. Fortune Boy made good ground late with one wider out after making his run at the rear from gate 12. It was another good run. Pope Cody ran on steadily for fifth after a wide trip with cover from midfield. Another World gradually faded after clearing to lead 1,150m out from gate 13. California Waves came up one paced when asked for an effort from behind midfield. Spirit Of Peace was held up for a run until the 100m after travelling near the rear from gate nine.
