Recap by phillip woo

Outsider Team Team Folks settled second last from gate 12 and stormed down the outside to get up in the last few strides for a maiden win at his fourth start. The switch to the Valley worked the oracle for his new trainer. Favourite Robot Lucky Star did a good job to finish a close second after a wide trip without cover from midfield. It was a solid effort at only his third start and first over the Valley 1,200m after a straight 1,000m win. Silver Spurs kept on gamely for third after clearing to lead from gate 10. He continues to hold his form well after two wins and a second from his first three starts this term. King Glorioso peaked on his move along the inside 50m out following a prominent run. It was a positive effort carrying a few pounds more following a win. Star Figure ran on late near the inside for fifth after making his run at the rear following a slow start. He had an excuse. Old-timer Mega Bonus gradually faded after tracking the speed from gate 11. He might be close to finding a rating bottom. Debutant Circuit Gogo made some ground late without threatening travelling fourth last after a sluggish start.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five : (174) - FAT TSEUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 ALABAMA SONG (K480) B Avdulla After travelling a short distance made contact with LEAN MASTER due to both runners shifting ground.

For some distance approaching the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid LEAN MASTER.

Near the 100 Metres raced tight to the inside of STAR FIGURE and as a consequence made contact with MULTIDUTCH.

Raced tight over the concluding stages.

B Avdulla stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley and is still inexperienced, was not entirely comfortable racing around the Happy Valley circuit and would derive benefit from tonight's experience.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 ROBOT LUCKY STAR (K485) Z Purton Jumped only fairly.

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MASTER PHOENIX which shifted out slightly and KING GLORIOSO which shifted in.

Approaching the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and was checked to avoid ALABAMA SONG.

As a consequence ROBOT LUCKY STAR was shifted to the outside of ALABAMA SONG where it was forced to race wide and without cover thereafter.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 MASTER PHOENIX (J516) C L Chau Shifted in on jumping and made contact with STAR FIGURE.

Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.

Horse No 4 LEAN MASTER (H134) H Doyle After travelling a short distance made contact with ALABAMA SONG due to both runners shifting ground.

Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid SILVER SPURS (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not clear.

Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded and advised he must ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.

Throughout the early and middle stages raced keenly and got its head up for some distance near the 800 Metres when being crossed by MEGA BONUS.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 6 CIRCUIT GOGO (L002) M F Poon Near the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between ALABAMA SONG which was giving ground and STAR FIGURE which shifted in.

Horse No 7 STAR FIGURE (K215) J McDonald Jumped only fairly and then was badly crowded for room between MASTER PHOENIX which shifted in slightly and MULTIDUTCH which shifted out abruptly.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 10 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

M L Yeung was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on a number of occasions in the Home Straight.

When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse Trainer K H Ting stated that the horse, which was having its first race start for his stable had settled well after being transferred.

He said, in his opinion, TEAM TEAM FOLKS was aided by the sheepskin cheek pieces being removed for tonight's race and had pleased him leading into the race with two barrier trials, in particular its most recent trial on 18 October 2025.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 12 MULTIDUTCH (K171) M Chadwick Shifted out abruptly at the start and bumped with MASTER PHOENIX when being corrected by its rider.

In the early stages became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of ROBOT LUCKY STAR and behind KING GLORIOSO.

Crowded near the 100 Metres.

Approaching the winning post MULTIDUTCH was again crowded by ALABAMA SONG which was racing tight to the inside of CIRCUIT GOGO.

M Chadwick reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after his mount shifted out abruptly at the start he was unable to do so.
