Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (155) - THE JAPAN RACING ASSOCIATION TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 FUN TOGETHER (H041) H Bowman Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Near the 1100 Metres FUN TOGETHER and LEGENDARY IMPACT were checked when crowded between LUNAR DASH which was taken in by RUN RUN SMART (H Doyle) and NEWBORN MIRACLE (M Chadwick) which shifted out when being corrected by its rider to avoid causing interference to its inside.
Both Jockeys Doyle and Chadwick were reprimanded.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 LUNAR DASH (K334) Z Purton Crowded near the 1000 Metres.
Briefly held up approaching the 250 Metres, shifted out and made contact with TOP TO SKY.
Over the final 200 Metres lay out under pressure.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 THE REVOLUTION (K092) L Ferraris L Ferraris reported that in the middle stages his mount raced keenly and refused to settle.
He said as a consequence it was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, THE REVOLUTION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 GOLDEN DREAM (K329) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by FUN TOGETHER which shifted out.
Horse No 6 HAPPY ALLIANCE (K316) C Y Ho From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 PRIDE BELIEVER (K501) A Badel Crowded near the 1000 Metres.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
Horse No 8 YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly.
Crowded near the 1000 Metres.
Horse No 9 LEGENDARY IMPACT (K035) C L Chau Checked near the 1100 Metres when crowded.
Horse No 10 RUN RUN SMART (K080) H Doyle Near the 150 Metres H Doyle dropped her right rein.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 NEWBORN MIRACLE (J477) M Chadwick H Doyle (RUN RUN SMART) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that making the first turn near the 1000 Metres she allowed her mount to shift in when not clear of LUNAR DASH, resulting in LUNAR DASH being taken in across the running of NEWBORN MIRACLE which was checked and further resulting in NEWBORN MIRACLE being carried in onto TOP TO SKY, causing TOP TO SKY to be taken across the running of PRIDE BELIEVER which was checked, resulting in PRIDE BELIEVER becoming unbalanced and a short distance later shifted in across the running of YEE CHEONG SPIRIT which was also checked.
H Doyle was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 at Happy Valley.
In addition, she was fined the sum of $60,000.
In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered her excellent race riding record.
Horse No 12 TOP TO SKY (K339) K C Leung Crowded near the 1000 Metres.
Near the 250 Metres was bumped and taken wider by LUNAR DASH which shifted to the outside of RUN RUN SMART to secure clear running.

Run Run Smart was perfectly rated by Hollie Doyle after leading from gate 11 for a first local win at his 12th start. He was stepping out off a rating low after going okay in his first two of three outings this term. Odds-on favourite Lunar Dash had his chance but found one too good after making his run on the leader's back. He wasn't good enough to give the winner 12 lb. Yee Cheong Spirit ran on well along the inside to snatch third travelling fourth last after a tardy start. He's a winner waiting to happen after filling the frame in his past three starts. Punted late Newborn Miracle was a head bob away in fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was an improved performance with a switch to the Valley at his fourth start this term. Legendary Impact stayed on for fifth after a wide trip from midfield. He's given a better sight in back-to-back runs following a return to the Valley 1,200m. Top To Sky gradually faded after sitting third and one off the fence. It was a slightly better performance, but he does appear destined for Class Five. Golden Dream was next best after making his run at the rear from gate eight.
