Recap by phillip woo

Time To Fire made his run third last from gate 12 and timed things perfectly to just beat Bright Inheritance for a maiden win at start six. Bright Inheritance was touched off late after leading 150m out with two wider out following a one-off trip from behind midfield. He appreciated a return to his preferred 1,600m following a pleasing dirt run on his seasonal debut. Inno Super made good ground widest out for third after making his run second last from gate 14. He was able to back up a near win last start over 1,400m. Well-backed Bull Attitude succumbed late after nearly drawing level 150m out following a wide trip with cover from midfield. It was a good run carrying 8lb more from a tricky gate following a win. Supreme Mastermind made good ground for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. It was an improved effort. Rosewood Fleetfoot was badly hampered inside the 100m after a wide and without cover trip.

Horse No 5 PEARL OF PANG'S (J447) K C Leung When questioned regarding the disappointing performance K C Leung stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the running of the race and making the Home Turn he endeavoured to shift out to take BULL ATTITUDE wider.

He said when PEARL OF PANG'S did not respond to his efforts to so do it made contact with BULL ATTITUDE before failing to run on in the Home Straight.

He added that, in his view, PEARL OF PANG'S did not appreciate the "Good to Firm" track conditions, particularly as it did not travel well during the running of the race.

Trainer K L Man concurred with the opinion of Jockey Leung that the horse did not appreciate the "Good to Firm" track conditions.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) A Badel As the start was effected bounded in the air, resulting in its rider A Badel becoming unbalanced and being dislodged.
