Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (67) - NAM SANG WAI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 ONLY U (J037) K C Leung Jumped only fairly and then was inconvenienced by BRAVE OF FRIENDS which was taken in slightly by KA YING POWER.
Horse No 2 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) A Badel A short distance after the start became unbalanced after being bumped by MACANESE MASTER which shifted in.
Horse No 4 EXCELLENT DADDY (E321) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 6 DRACO (J115) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When questioned H Bowman explained that after leaving the 500 Metres he was unable to improve his position when following ONLY U and eventually was able to obtain clear running to that horse's outside after passing the 300 Metres as he felt the alternative option to go to the inside of ONLY U would have been detrimental to his mount's chances.
Horse No 8 DECRELOT (J551) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 KA YING POWER (H169) B Avdulla After passing the 400 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running between CIRCUIT FIERY and DECRELOT.
It was noted that over the final 200 Metres B Avdulla refrained from using his whip on the horse which was in accordance with his instructions.
Trainer J Size confirmed the instructions issued.
Horse No 10 LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338) E C W Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse had returned an abnormal heart rate requiring further assessment.
Following further assessment of the abnormal heart rate, the Stewards will consider if any further action is taken against the horse.
Horse No 12 MACANESE MASTER (J532) M Chadwick After the event M Chadwick reported that his instructions were to take up a more forward position, however, from a wide barrier he made the decision to press on in order to avoid covering extra ground.
Horse No 13 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) K Teetan Slow to begin.

Decrelot settled one-out, one-back from barrier eight and after drawing level with Circuit Fiery 100m out, he just scrambled in for a first win at his 10th start. Circuit Fiery kept on gamely for second after claiming the lead 300m out pressing forward to track the speed from gate 14. He's a winner waiting to happen with placings in four consecutive starts. Draco ran on nicely for third after making his run third last from gate 13. He can bob up at any moment after running well in defeat in all three starts this term. Favourite Only U stayed on for fourth after a rail run from midfield. It was another honest performance. Punted late Ka Ying Power ran on steadily for fifth after a handy run along the inside. It was a better effort with blinkers back on at his second run this term. Colonel was next best after giving up the lead to Macanese Master to travel box seat. He's crying out for a return to the Valley.
