Race Eight : (26) - LOK WAH HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TOURBILLON GOLFER (K320) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 DECISION LINK (K416) K De Melo Jumped only fairly.
Leaving the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of GOOD FORTUNE to continue into clear running.
Horse No 3 GOOD FORTUNE (H349) J Orman After travelling a short distance was bumped by CLUB ACE.
Raced wide and without cover until near the 600 Metres.
Horse No 6 PATCH OF TIME (H483) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris stated that his mount settled further back in the field when it bounded on jumping, shifted in, made contact with LEGEND STAR and lost ground.
He added that in the Home Straight PATCH OF TIME finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 VON BAER (K198) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 CLUB ACE (J523) M L Yeung After travelling a short distance shifted in, made contact with GOOD FORTUNE and then was shifted behind that runner.
After the event M L Yeung stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount failed to show sufficient pace in the early stages to do so.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 11 IRON LEGION (J459) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Horse No 12 BLUE BARON (J448) A Badel From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the Home Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride out.

Jubilant Winner travelled wide with cover in midfield and took control 100m out to win in a class record time. He had always promised to do that in 10 outings last term. Von Baer stayed on well for second after a box-seat run. He lived up to an improved effort at his final start last season. Decision Link ran on nicely for second after coming off heels for a clear run 150m out turning the final bend four from the rear. It was an eye-catching run on debut. Favourite Tourbillon Golfer was on his tippy toes late after dictating the pace from gate 12. He appeared to need the run after seconds in both outings last term. Hot Air Ballon finished nicely near the outside for fifth after making his run fourth last from gate 13. It's only a matter of time before he salutes after two promising performances. Legend Star stayed on next best settling one-off in midfield after jumping in the air at the start. He's gone OK in both outings this term.
