Well-backed Fight Time was wide without cover in midfield but produced a determined run to just get the better of Cashiscash 100m out for a maiden win at his 19th start. Cashiscash did everything right but get the win after hitting the front near the 200m following a prominent run on the fence. He can break through at any moment. Favourite Only U ran on late near the outside for third after making his run fourth last from gate 12. He was first up for his new trainer and should come on for the run. Panda Legend stayed on for fourth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He was able to back up a third at his final start following a downgrade. Gangnam Star got up for fifth after peeling off the fence from behind midfield. Oriental Surprise was gassed 100m out after covering ground early on before slotting one off in third from gate 10. He couldn't build on a patiently ridden fourth on opening day over 1,200m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two : (20) - HONG TUNG HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 ONLY U (J037) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 EVERYONE'S CLASSIC (J407) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.

Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.

As this was the second occasion that EVERYONE'S CLASSIC had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.

Horse No 3 JUMBO FORTUNE (G195) J Orman A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

Before being allowed to race again, JUMBO FORTUNE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 CASHISCASH (J369) L Hewitson Lunged forward as the start was effected.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 6 FIGHT TIME (H409) P N Wong Bumped shortly after the start.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 VERBIER (J187) E C W Wong On jumping was bumped by MR GOOD VIBES which shifted out, resulting in VERBIER then shifting out and making contact with STRONGEST BOY.

After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to obtain a position outside the lead.

He said VERBIER raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages and as a consequence was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 HE WAS ME (J535) M L Yeung Had its right front plate refitted in the saddling stalls.

Noted to have blood at the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Horse No 11 KA YING POWER (H169) B Avdulla Bumped shortly after the start.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 12 MR GOOD VIBES (H180) K Teetan Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Horse No 13 STRONGEST BOY (H027) M Chadwick Bumped shortly after the start.
