Racing Incident Report
Race Ten : (10) - SUNSET PEAK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 PATCH OF STARS (J343) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
After the event Z Purton stated that his mount may not have run out a strong 1400 Metres racing first up today.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 ATULLIBIGEAL (G173) H Bowman Slow to begin.
Horse No 3 ANODE (K367) R Kingscote Jumped awkwardly and was bumped by BEAUTY CRESCENT, resulting in ANODE then shifting out and becoming unbalanced when it bumped PATCH OF STARS.
After the event R Kingscote advised that from a wide barrier his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) B Avdulla Leaving the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from SPIRIT OF PEACE.
Horse No 7 BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334) Y L Chung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 TOP GUN (J249) K Teetan Jumped only fairly and blundered shortly after the start.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 SPIRIT OF PEACE (K007) A Atzeni Raced keenly in the early stages.
Horse No 12 ORIENTAL SMOKE (E467) K De Melo Had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres was held up behind ARIEL for a short distance before shifting to that runner's outside.
Horse No 13 KA YING SUPERB (J091) M F Poon Sent for sampling post-race.
GENERAL:
1.
After the running of Race 7, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Yielding" After the running of Race 9, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding" to "Good" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 9 being run on a track rated "Good"

Assistant Trainer C S Yip, allocated to Mr C H Yip's stable, was fined the sum of $10,000 under Rule 155(5) for improper conduct in that he improperly used a padded whip on a racehorse at the Conghua Racecourse on Monday, 18 August 2025 as he attempted to lead the horse into the trotting ring.
Expert Work Rider Ranveer Singh was also cautioned in relation to his whip use on the horse when he was mounted on it.
Mr Singh and Mr C S Yip were advised that a report would be made to the Head of Dual Site Stables Operations in respect to their conduct.

Sensationally backed Beauty Crescent led from gate 12 and kept up a strong gallop after repelling a challenge from favourite Patch Of Stars near the 200m for back-to-back wins from 34 starts. Ka Ying Superb ran on nicely near the inside to finish a close second after a rail run from better than midfield. It was his best effort from eight starts in the grade. Spirit Of Peace produced a good run to finish a close third after a wide trip with cover from midfield. He lived up to some good late season form. Armour War Eagle let down late with two wider out for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He should come on for the run. Top Gun kept on all right after a wide trip without cover travelling better than midfield. He might not be far off a rating bottom. Patch Of Stars peaked on his run 100m out after drawing near level for the lead 200m out following a one-off trip settling third from gate 14. He couldn't offset top weight and a wide draw.
