Race Nine : (847) - SUN JEWELLERY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) Z Purton Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to THRIVING BROTHERS which shifted in.
Horse No 2 KYRUS DRAGON (H396) K Teetan Held up making the Home Turn.
Horse No 3 SUGAR SUGAR (G016) K H Chan Shifted out near the 500 Metres and was bumped.
Horse No 5 CHILL BUDDY (K469) E C W Wong After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount became unbalanced making the Home Turn and then was unable to run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 YOUNG ARROW (J401) A Atzeni Bumped shortly after the start.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
For some distance near the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid ROMANTIC SON.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 STORMING DRAGON (J237) B Thompson Near the 500 Metres was bumped by SUGAR SUGAR which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 THRIVING BROTHERS (J396) M Chadwick Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 9 COPARTNER FLEET (K342) M F Poon Had its left front plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
After the event M F Poon reported that he had to make some use of his mount in the early stages to lead.
He said his mount was then further disadvantaged when DRAGON FOUR SEAS placed pressure on him during the middle stages which resulted in COPARTNER FLEET not being able to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 10 FRANCIS MEYNELL (J394) H T Mo Near the 300 Metres was steadied to avoid CHILL BUDDY which was giving ground.
After the event H T Mo reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the race.

Horse No 11 REGAL GEM (K258) K C Leung Bumped shortly after the start.
Near the 250 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of VICTOR THE RAPID to obtain clear running.

Additions to Racing Incidents Report of 13 July 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 5 (832) CALIFORNIA MOXIE - From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Race 9 (836) ATULLIBIGEAL - Crowded on jumping between PRESTIGE RICKY which was taken in by YOUNG ACHIEVER and HUGE WAVE which shifted out and away from MICKLEY which shifted out.
HUGE WAVE - Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
PRESTIGE RICKY - Crowded on jumping.
YOUNG ACHIEVER - Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
GOLDEN SCENERY - Crowded shortly after the start by CALL ME TOPSEED which shifted in.
CALL ME TOPSEED - Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.

After switching off heels for a clear run 200m out while travelling fourth last, Regal Gem surged late to get up by a bob of the heads for a first win at his fifth local start. Punted late, Storming Dragon came up just short with a bold move down the outside after a patient ride second last from gate 11. He has been a terrific money spinner for connections. Victor The Rapid ran on nicely near the outside to finish a close third after a wide trip with cover from behind midfield. It was another solid run up in grade following a win. Thriving Brothers stayed on well for fourth after briefly poking his head in front 100m out following a wide trip without cover from midfield. He was able to perform well up in grade following a win. Kyrus Dragon ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. He rarely produces a bad Valley 1,200m run. Favourite Dragon Four Seas succumbed late after briefly assuming the lead 150m out following a speed-tracking run from gate eight. He had to work too hard early on and did have top weight. Young Arrow only plodded after a one-off trip from better than midfield.
