Racing Incident Report
Race One : (839) - SILVER GRECIAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430) Z Purton After the event Z Purton stated that his mount enjoyed a good run during the race and when asked for an effort in the Home Straight failed to respond and was disappointing.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MY INTELLIGENT (G031) E C W Wong Shifted in on jumping, made contact with YOU'REMYEVERYTHING and became unbalanced.
After the event Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no excuse for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Horse No 3 WINNING HEART (H065) M Chadwick After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount did not appreciate racing inside other horses during the race.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 RAGNARR (H297) M F Poon Noted to have an abrasion to the right hock at the holding stables, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start.
Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385) B Thompson Jumped awkwardly.
In the early stages raced keenly as its rider B Thompson endeavoured to shift his mount behind runners to obtain cover.
SPORTIC WARRIOR continued to race keenly in the middle stages and approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from EVER SMART.
Noted to have sustained a small laceration to the right front leg after the race.
Horse No 7 MACANESE MASTER (J532) J Orman From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 TALENTS SUPREMO (H133) K Teetan Shortly after the start was bumped by SUPERB MOVE which shifted out slightly.
Horse No 9 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MY INTELLIGENT and RAGNARR which was taken out by TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR.
Horse No 11 SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 SUPERB MOVE (G304) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Speedy Smartie dictated the pace from gate seven and just clung on for a second win from 29 starts. The five-year-old had been threatening to salute for most of the campaign. Ragnarr surged late to make it close on the wire after a prominent run on the fence from gate four. It was another good effort after notching minor placings in three of his last five starts. Dan Attack had to settle for third in a blanket finish after tracking the speed from gate two. It was a solid performance following a stable change and he should be winning next season if he remains in the grade. You'remyeverything ran on late near the inside for fourth without threatening the top three after a rails run from midfield. He's not far off a winning run. Punted late Ever Smart made some ground late near the outside after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He can produce a positive run now. Talents Supremo ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. Triumphant Warrior did not find when asked for an effort after making his run third and one off with cover from gate three. He couldn't back up a placing last start at this level.
